Evaluation apprehension
Evaluation apprehension is the creativity-suppressing effect of expecting to be judged: in controlled experiments, people who merely anticipated expert evaluation of their work produced output rated significantly less creative than people working without that expectation — and being watched (surveillance) produced a similar decrement. The judgment doesn't have to happen; expecting it is enough.
