Terms of Use

1. Acceptance and eligibility

By downloading, accessing, purchasing, or using RealityWipe, you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”) and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be legally able to agree to these Terms. RealityWipe is not for children under 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with permission from a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms. If you use RealityWipe for an organization, you confirm that you can bind that organization.

2. Wellbeing, medical limits, and emergencies

RealityWipe is a self-directed practice and educational tool for working with recurring self-talk. It is not therapy, diagnosis, medical advice, psychiatric care, crisis support, or a medical device. It does not create a clinician-patient relationship, and no professional monitors your entries.

The individual behavioral mechanisms referenced by RealityWipe may be supported by published research, but the complete RealityWipe protocol has not been clinically validated as a treatment package. Do not delay or replace professional care because of anything generated by the Service.

3. Accounts and security

The app may create an anonymous account on first use. Signing in with Apple, Google, or an email link can help attach that account to an identity and restore access on another device. You are responsible for your device, account sessions, and the accuracy of information you provide.

Do not share authentication links or session credentials. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend sessions, require reauthentication, or restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the Service.

4. Your content and AI-generated output

Your content

You retain ownership of thoughts, answers, recordings, and other content you submit (“User Content”). You give us a limited, worldwide license to host, copy, process, transmit, adapt, and display User Content only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Service and to meet legal obligations. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for temporary backup copies, de-identified information, and records we must lawfully retain.

You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit User Content. Avoid including another person’s private, confidential, or identifying information unless you have permission or another lawful basis.

AI output

RealityWipe uses artificial intelligence to generate scripts, classifications, and other responses. AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, repetitive, biased, or unsuitable for your situation. Similar output may be generated for other users. You are responsible for reviewing output and deciding whether to use it.

Do not treat AI output as professional, medical, legal, financial, or safety advice. We do not promise a specific psychological, behavioral, health, relationship, or career result.

5. Our service and your license

Subject to these Terms, RealityWipe gives you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. We and our licensors retain all rights in the Service, including software, design, branding, research summaries, templates, and non-user content.

These Terms do not grant permission to use RealityWipe’s trademarks, branding, or content outside normal use of the Service. Feedback you voluntarily provide may be used without restriction or compensation, but we will not publicly identify you as its source without permission.

6. Acceptable use

You may not:

• use the Service to violate law, another person’s rights, or these Terms;
• threaten, exploit, harass, deceive, or facilitate harm to any person, including yourself;
• submit content you do not have the right to process or content containing malware;
• probe, scan, disrupt, overload, bypass, or defeat security, rate limits, access controls, or payment controls;
• reverse engineer or extract source code except where applicable law expressly permits it;
• scrape, resell, sublicense, or use the Service to build or train a competing model or product without written permission;
• impersonate another person or misrepresent affiliation with RealityWipe.

We may investigate suspected misuse and cooperate with lawful requests. Enforcement will be proportionate to the risk and circumstances where reasonably possible.

7. Subscriptions, renewal, and refunds

RealityWipe may offer free features and auto-renewing monthly or annual subscriptions. The purchase screen shows the price, billing period, trial or introductory terms if any, and included features before you confirm. Prices and taxes can vary by storefront and region.

Subscriptions purchased through Apple are charged to your Apple Account and renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple may charge for renewal within 24 hours before that period ends. Manage or cancel through your Apple subscription settings. Deleting RealityWipe or your RealityWipe account does not cancel the Apple subscription.

Purchases and refunds are administered by Apple under its rules, except where applicable law requires otherwise. We may change subscription features or future prices with the notice required by the storefront and applicable law. A price change does not apply retroactively to a completed billing period.

8. App stores and third-party services

RealityWipe relies on services such as Apple, Google, Anthropic, RevenueCat, Expo, and hosting or email providers. Their services are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party outages or conduct outside our reasonable control.

For an iOS download, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the licensed app in addition to these Terms. These Terms govern the RealityWipe account and Service. Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for RealityWipe except as required by applicable law.

9. Service changes, suspension, and termination

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features to improve the Service, address risk, comply with law, or reflect business changes. We will provide notice when required and try to avoid materially reducing a paid feature during an active billing period without a reasonable remedy.

You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account in the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially or repeatedly violate these Terms, create security or legal risk, fail to pay, or if the Service is discontinued. Provisions that by their nature should survive—such as ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and payment obligations—remain effective after termination.

10. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service and all output are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that content or outcomes will meet your expectations.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions. In that case, the exclusions apply only to the extent permitted, and your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RealityWipe and its operators, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or opportunities, arising from or related to the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for RealityWipe during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited, including mandatory consumer protections.

12. Updates and contact

We may revise these Terms. We will post the updated version, change the effective date, and provide additional notice when required. If a material change requires consent, we will request it. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.

If any provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the rest will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision once is not a waiver. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the purchase terms shown to you, and any applicable app-store terms form the agreement governing the Service.
